ALFREDO CINAMEO IONESIS [NDL] +

“Ionesis” is a sonic plasma performance/installation consisting of three multi-electrode discharge tubes which were originally invented by the scientist Nikola Tesla. These 'tubes' transform six electronic audio channels into twelve high voltage sources, initiating an electro-sonic reaction in light plasma as a result. The focus of the work lies in investigating the discharging qualities of plasma.

EUPHORIE [FRA] +

The audiovisual performance reconsiders the guitar hero myth by replacing the old device with “neon guitars”. Both intimate and surprising, “Euphorie” plays on the spectator experiences in contemporary theater as well as in electronic music, offering the audience a brand new approach.

The content of the pure data application is read as pure data into sound and pixels (rgb + extrude). “Pure Data read as pure data”, a trip through the back of the binary code, and its hidden qualities: structure, logic, rhythm, redundancy, composition...

ANDRÉ RANGEL, ANNE-KATHRIN SIEGEL & FERNANDO ALÇADA SYNDYN [PRT ] +

The space where the event takes place is colored with light which is controlled by the players' movements. Literally, the possibility of drawing with this game gives “SynDyn” its original and innovative character: being simultaneously a sports, entertainment and art event that merges aesthetics, physical activity, technology and entertainment.

EDUARDO PATRÍCIO ZIN [BRA] +

“Zin” is a musical digital instrument developed to explore more or less direct relationships between gestures and sounds. Its interface, equipped with infrared sensors, allows the control of multiple sound parameters, with no physical contact. The instrument and its usage are works in progress, which search a balance between expressivity and simplicity, formalism and improvisation, transparency and ambiguity.

PROJETO AQUARPA MNEMORFOSES [BRA] +

“Mnemorfoses” uses electronic instruments, string instruments, woodwind instruments and percussion instruments, all of them especially created for the project. Over that, the project uses a series of collected objects that are used for musical proposes. “Mnemorfoses” explores the intensification of synesthesic perception which results of the cybernetic relationship between the memory and the ambient mediate by audiovisual machines.

GIULIANO OBICI CONCERTO PARA LANHOUSE [BRA] +

An audiovisual installation-performance for computers connected to a Local Area Network - LAN. The proposition is to achieve a kind of sound and visual "mediatic performing" of a LAN's computers. A small "performediatic" aesthetic exercise, and also a modest homage to the more than 108,000 lan-houses scattered through Brazil.
FILE HYPERSONICA
FILE Hypersonica is an event which emphasizes musical, sonic, visual and performatic manifestations of electronic art. The presentations explore different techniques of sound capture, production, emission and programming.
Hypersonica Screening exhibits audiovisual pieces which use digital means of production, such as visual music, animations and music videos. On the other hand, Hypersonica Participants presents a great variety of exclusively sound experiences.
In this edition, FILE Hypersonica Performance presents, on July 19-22 from 8 pm at SESI-SP Theater, 4 nights of electronic sound experiments with national and international artists who create new musical parameters.
